Introduction to Design Thinking

Course Synopsis 

This module introduces popular thinking processes like Design Thinking and business innovation tools such as Conceptual Blending and Mind Mapping. These tools are used in start-ups, big established corporations, government and social service to promote creativity and innovation. Through the workshop, participants will gain deep insights about users (the core of design thinking), define and reframe problems, and generate solutions or alternative approaches that are more effective than those that already exist. Participants will be taken through the entire design thinking process and learn how to apply it through examples and hands-on activities.  

At the end of the workshop, they acquire the creative mind-set needed for successful innovation and learn to solve problems in any setting by putting design thinking into action. 

Certification 

Participants will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance by Republic Polytechnic upon meeting 80% of attendance requirement.
