Visitors today are becoming more demanding because of the many distractions, and their consumption patterns have shifted due to technological advances. Hence, there is a need to deepen the understanding of whom our visitors are and what are their demands and preferences.
This course aims to equip participants with appropriate knowledge on visitor profiles, types of visitors and the factors that influence visitor behaviour. Participants can understand the Hofstede’s Dimensions of National Culture model, and use the model to enhance their understanding of visitor behaviour.

This course is perfect for anyone who works in the hospitality and tourism industry and does not require any prior experience and knowledge.
Certification
Participants will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance issued by Republic Polytechnic upon meeting 80% of the attendance.
Trainer's Profile
Edmund Poh has more than 10 years of industry experience in tourism. He was with Singapore Tourism Board (STB), with stints in the Exhibitions and Conferences Division and Travel Services Division. Before joining STB, Edmund was a Station Manager with Singapore Airlines. In 2012, Edmund joined Republic Polytechnic and has rich experience in teaching a wide array of learners, including adult learners and professionals.
