Republic Polytechnic Latin Dancesport is a versatile interest group where students are exposed to different latin ballroom dances and styles such as Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, Samba and Pasodoble.

Under the tutelage of The Dancesport Academy, the interest group has progressed significantly and uplifted their performance standards. Known for their sleek synchronisation and footwork patterns, Latin Dancesport has won several awards. In 2016, the interest group emerged as winners for the Raffles Cup DanceSport Championship and Far East Plaza Dance Challenge. They also came in third placing at the BD Dance World Superstars DanceSport Championship in 2017.

Latin Dancesport is also featured annually at Republic Polytechnic’s annual dance showcases such as Momentum Dance Festival and MUSE Dance Concert.
