Learning Objectives

Explain in detail about network fundamental concepts including network components, topology and architecture.
Configure and verify components of wired and wireless LANs for network access in
both Layer 2 and Layer 3.
Implement IP services for the network utilising Network Access Translation (NAT), Network Time Protocol (NTP), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and Secure Shell (SSH).
Implement security fundamentals in the network, including defining key security concepts and configuration of both Layer 2 and Layer 3 security features.
Describe and explain how Artificial Intelligence (generative and predictive) and machine learning, along with network automation and programmability enhances the network’s capability using REST based APIs in controller-based networking with configuration management mechanisms including Ansible and Terraform.
