This module seeks to give all participants a better understanding on the classification of goods and the Harmonised System (HS).

  • Interpret HS codes based on given products

  • Perform classification using General Interpretative Rules

Who Should Attend?

Companies/Freight Forwarders/Licensees who act as Declaring Agents, Importers, Exporters & Manufacturers

Certification

Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.

For courses with formal assessment component, participants will be awarded the certification of completion upon passing the assessment. Otherwise, a certification of attendance will be issued instead upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.

Trainer's Profile

Veronica Ho joined Republic Polytechnic in 2020. She was previously a Customs Trainer at the Singapore Customs Academy where she facilitated and provided training on trade documentation procedures for internal staff, business community, local, as well as foreign governments. On top of her experience working with the Singapore Customs, Veronica was a trainer for Workforce Skills Qualification Security courses. Veronica is also experienced in providing consultancy services in Customs schemes including security risk assessment/ audit of commercial buildings and hospitals. Veronica holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications degree from the Singapore Institute of Management.
