Course objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the concepts of relational database
  • Understand and apply a simple process of data table normalisation
  • Apply the basic features and functionalities of a no-code application development platform
  • Have a basic grasp at developing and deploying a simple mobile application with sample or real data sets

Course description

This is an introductory course on a no-code development platform for beginners who have no prior knowledge of mobile application development. No-code development platform allows both programmers and non-programmers to create application software through graphical user interfaces and configuration instead of traditional computer coding.

A no-code development approach helps to develop software applications and navigate the technicalities without the need for coding. It offers an innovative approach to those who wish to optimise their businesses/operations through mobile apps development. Participants will be equipped with basic knowledge and skills that will enable them to create mobile application solutions that simplify operational processes.

In this one-day workshop, participants will be introduced to AppSheet, a popular no-code development platform used in the industry. There will also be an engaging hands-on session on how to develop and deploy applications on smartphones and tablets.
