This module provides an insight into the origin and development of embryonic and foetal life, and the effects of aging on the various organ systems. Students will study how the human nervous system and special senses like olfaction and vision work. In addition, they will learn about the musculoskeletal system with its related distribution of nerves. The module also covers in depth neurobiological functions such as speech and language comprehension, the cognitive function of memory, positive reinforcement, euphoria, sleep and related regulatory mechanisms.
