This module aims to introduce students to the transformative impact of digital technologies on healthcare systems and practices. Students will learn key concepts and components of digital health, including electronic health records (EHRs), telehealth, and wearable devices. Student will learn about health information systems, focusing on pharmacy informatics. Students will also gain an understanding of the role of data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence in healthcare for predictive modelling, decision support, and personalized medicine. These culminate into how digital technologies facilitate patient education and empowerment, promoting patient-centered care models.
