This module introduces students to key tools, methods, and concepts in operations management used to address challenges and optimise performance in complex business environments. Students learn to apply quantitative methods in operations planning, focusing on defining problems, modelling processes, and implementing optimal solutions using techniques such as Linear and Integer Programming, as well as Network Analysis. The aim is to develop students’ analytical and decision-making skills to support operations planning, process improvement, and resource optimisation across logistics, manufacturing, and service industries.
