This module aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Students will learn how the ingredients and growing environment impact the quality and characteristics of each beverage. Key topics covered in the module include processing of raw ingredients in beverage production, major regions of beverage production and service and appreciation of beverages. At the end of this module, students will attain relevant knowledge of wines, beers, spirits and other non-alcoholic beverages. They will also learn concepts of food and beverage pairing to help them apply their knowledge in the service, promotion, sales, and distribution of beverages in the industry.
