User Interface Design teaches students how industry-recognised user interface design principles can be applied to create intuitive user interfaces on a range of interactive platforms including mobile applications and websites. The students learn how gestalt heuristics, card-sorting, search patterns, and design patterns can be used to produce good user interface designs. Students also learn the importance of wayfinding, navigation, and the documentation of the design process. By the end of the module students will be able to apply their learning to a variety of design projects, including online forms, and user interfaces for an online booking system.
