This module is an optional 16-week extension to the T935 internship. It is relevant to students who choose to participate in a one-year academic internship pathway. The program is opt-in and supports students in accumulating work experience in an area related to their diploma and career aspirations for an extended period. The main objective of this program is to deepen the skillsets, techniques, and knowledge gained through the diploma in real-world working situations. Students will continue their attachment with a diploma-related company and refine their diploma outcome areas via a structured on-the-job training blueprint. They will receive support from a company supervisor and a school liaison officer. The program has specific learning outcomes to provide the best experience for both students and industry partners. It is designed to deliver a unique and valuable experience to the participating students while also benefiting the industry partners.
Eligible students who meet the academic prerequisites will be given the option to select Industry Immersion Programme II (IIP II). The coverage of IIP II will be equivalent to 16 modular credits, e.g., one Specialisation Module, one Elective Module, two Freely Chosen Modules, and one Project module. Eligible students will typically undertake IIP II during Semester 2 of the final year for the diploma of study.
