Cultivation of high-yield and premium-quality tomatoes requires a relatively cool, dry climate, and greenhouse tomato production can be a versatile solution for sustainable year-round cultivation.

The majority of commercial tomato varieties are of the indeterminate type, which has a tall stature and a long life cycle. This demands heavy maintenance and discourages the growers from investing in indoor tomato production.

There is a need to develop a tomato variety/hybrid that grows to a height of 3-5 feet and has a shorter life cycle.

RP has identified and developed a new cultivar that will be suitable for greenhouse/indoor cultivation and potted culture.
