A317 Seafood Handling

Students will be equipped with essential knowledge and skills to manage the supply of seafood and maintain facilities associated with the processing and retail of fish and shellfish. In this module, students will be exposed to the principles of basic hygiene, as well as seafood and general food safety in accordance to industry regulations. In addition, students will examine the environmental issues related to seafood processing and learn about the planning and operational matters on fisheries management.
