This module builds on students’ foundational knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, and pharmacy practice. It focuses on advanced pharmacological interventions for medical conditions such as psychiatric disorders, neurological diseases, and musculoskeletal ailments. Students will explore pharmacotherapeutic approaches by examining drug classes, mechanisms of action, and therapeutic uses of relevant medications. Emphasis is placed on integrating scientific understanding with clinical reasoning to optimise patient outcomes. Through case-based learning and realistic patient scenarios involving multiple comorbidities and special populations, students will enhance their ability to evaluate, analyse, and apply evidence-based pharmacotherapy in clinical practice.
