Students learn to apply quantitative methods to core topics such as load planning and control, network crew scheduling, disruption management, airline economics, marketing, customer experience, fleet inventory, and technical management.
Key concepts include principles of aircraft loading, weight and balance, index computation and trim charts, network analysis and optimisation, on-time performance, breakeven load factors, market segmentation, demand forecasting, aircraft spares management, and maintenance planning. By the end of the module, students will have developed the foundational knowledge and analytical skills essential for roles in airline and aviation service operations.
