This module equips students with the knowledge and skills to design functional Integrated Circuits (IC), following the development methodology widely used in the semiconductor industry. The IC design methodology includes circuit design, functional simulation, layout implementation, and post-layout verification. This iterative methodology enhances students' understanding of IC Design. With the inclusion of industry-grade Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software into the module, students will also get hands-on experience with EDA tools used in the industry. This practical exposure aims to reduce the steep learning curve typically encountered by new engineers when entering the industry.
