This module provides an overview of the specialised field of Cold Chain Management, focusing on the handling of Perishable and Temperature-Sensitive Products (PTSP), pharmaceuticals, and dangerous goods (DG). Students learn about Singapore’s Cold Chain standards, product handling and packaging requirements, and key compliance frameworks such as Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP).
The module also examines warehouse infrastructure for cold chain operations and explores how artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and sustainable logistics practices can enhance safety, efficiency, and environmental responsibility in managing sensitive products. By the end of the module, students are equipped to support specialised cold chain operations aligned with industry and regulatory standards.
