This module provides students with a comprehensive understanding of community needs assessment within the context of human ecology. Students will learn the principles and methodologies essential for conducting effective assessments to evaluate community health and identify pressing needs. Emphasising practical skills, the module covers the rationale behind needs assessment, assessment methods, analysing and presenting results, and prioritising identified needs. By the end of the module, students will be able to translate the assessment results to propose informed strategies for improving individual health in the community.
