This module introduces the fundamentals of audio technology and the core principles of sound design. Students will be equipped with the essential skills in audio recording, editing and mixing using the latest Digital Audio Workstation. Students will learn about the physics of sound, various types of microphones, including the key concepts of signal flow. Throughout the module, students get to experience hands-on work such as recording dialogue in outdoor and indoor locations, editing sound clips, and producing unique audio-driven content. This module encourages students to explore the world of analog and digital sounds and to bring new sonic possibilities to their media projects.
