This module integrates fundamental drawing skills with various interdisciplinary approaches. Students learn to use drawing to help understand concepts, communicate visually, support creative thinking and expression, and learn why drawing is relevant to the sciences, technologies, and the arts. The module covers drawing from observation, conceptual drawing, and drawing from imagination. Students apply the drawing techniques progressively to conceptualise ideas and make them visible. By learning to produce drawings based on observations, concepts, creative expressions, and imagination, students acquire the skills to undertake an authentic, self-directed drawing project related to their chosen discipline.
