The aim of this module is to provide students with a working knowledge of various usability evaluation and testing methods used in the industry. It also enables students to understand the difference between usability and user experience and why it is important to differentiate both these concepts. The module teaches students to communicate to various stakeholders the severity level of usability issues encountered and the impact of these issues to the overall user experience of the products/services. Through class exercises, students learn how to identify and use the right usability method for the specific phase of the design cycle, and to apply the correct quantitative and/or qualitative metrics needed.
