ERGO Technology Centre (ERGOTC) specialises in ergonomics and ergogenics of human performance. We help organisations develop viable technologies and products to enhance human movement and the performance of athletes and the general population. ERGOTC is helmed by sports and exercise science experts from diverse fields such as biomechanics, physiology, psychology, biochemistry, nutrition, motor control and learning, strength and conditioning, and kinesiology.
ERGOTC has collaborated with numerous organisations to enhance occupational health, safety and work performance, such as:
Read about some of our current R&D work below:
Partner: Universitas Negeri Padang, Indonesia This project attempts to investigate and quantify the kinematics and kinetics of the tennis forehand stroke through the use of high-speed optical camera systems and embedded force sensors in tennis rackets.
Partner: Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) This study will provide SCDF commanders and trainers with a more comprehensive profiling of their firefighters’ physiological capacity and aid in the development of a more task-specific training programme.
Partners: Nanyang Technological University and Ministry of Education This project aims to develop a marker-less motion capture system to gather accurate 3D joint kinematic data for possible use in a clinical setting.
