The community care courses meet a variety of needs by offering comprehensive instruction in providing care and managing health. The health and wellness for trainers courses provide health coaches with the knowledge and abilities to become successful advocates for healthy lifestyles. The Skills Based Modular Courses (SBMC) are modules selected from Specialist Diplomas or Part-Time Diplomas. It enables you to acquire new skills or deepen relevant skills without the need to enroll into a full programme. Classes are conducted in the evening or weekends, and modules require between 30 and 60 hours to complete.

A coach’s influence extends beyond the sport, imparting life skills such as problem-solving, communication, decision-making, leadership, and perseverance. This full-day Values and Principles in Sports (VPS) programme is designed by Sport Singapore and the Ministry of Education (MOE) to help sport coaches recognise the value of sports, and in particular, the role of the coach.
This course reinforces the concept of counselling being a special relationship built on confidentiality, mutual respect and open communication with the intention to help people.
