Urban Agriculture Centre of Innovation (UACOI) was back at Agri-Food Tech Expo Asia (AFTEA) 2024! The event brought together an inspiring blend of industry leaders, innovative thinkers, and dedicated professionals—all united by a shared passion for advancing agriculture and agritechnology.

This year’s UACOI exhibition was not only a showcase of cutting-edge agricultural technologies and sustainable practices but also a platform for insightful conversations. One of the standout highlights was our participation at the Sandbox Presentation, where our colleague Dr Deivanai from AGRI Centre spoke on her newly developed dwarf cherry tomato variety and Dr. Kadamb from CROPS shared on sustainable urban agriculture solutions. Other experts from both centres also had the opportunity to share their research projects and outcomes, ranging from IoT lighting solutions to novel pest management strategies, and seed priming technologies. Their sessions have sparked dynamic discussions on emerging trends, practical solutions, and future challenges in the agricultural sector. The audience’s engagement and enthusiasm reinforced the importance of collaboration in shaping the future of farming.
