Individual Performance Analysis for Sports Coaches

Video technology has opened many doors in the world of sport.

This course introduces the use of various video-based technologies in sport performance analysis. Participants will have the opportunity to use top-notch software applied by many Olympic medallists and sports professionals.

In addition, participants will learn the fundamental principles of sports skill analysis and will be guided through a hands-on process to record a skill, analyse using fundamental principles, and be able to share the video to the cloud. 

Learning Objectives

Participants will learn the fundamental concepts of performance analysis and how technology can be used to enhance coaching and provide relevant feedback in sports.

Some highlights of the course include:

  • Exploring the benefits of using video-based analysis

  • Understanding key elements of a systematic observational strategy in technique analysis

  • Using augmented feedback in the coaching process

Who should attend?

Sports coaches, fitness trainers, physiotherapists, podiatrist, and physical education teachers.


Participants will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance by Republic Polytechnic upon completion of a given mini-assignment.
