Nutrition for Healthy Living

This course aims to equip participants with the basic knowledge of nutrients required by human body, nutrition at different age groups and nutrition for the prevention and management of diseases. The course will cover energy-producing macronutrients, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytonutrients to promote healthy living across age groups and for disease prevention. The course will upskill dietary attendants, nutrition advisors, meal planners, food producers, food retailers or chef in making informed choice of healthy meals required for individuals from all ages.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Gain knowledge and skills in nutrition to adopt healthy eating and to develop innovative, healthier food products

Certification

Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.

For courses with formal assessment component, participants will be awarded the certification of completion upon passing the assessment. Otherwise, a certification of attendance will be issued instead upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.
