PA Admiralty YOUnity Harmony Walk

On 20 July 2024, Republic Polytechnic students had a rewarding opportunity to participate in the Admiralty YOUnity Harmony Walk, an event organised by the People’s Association Admiralty Constituency aimed at promoting racial and religious harmony while fostering community resilience and unity among residents. The Harmony Walk saw overwhelming participation, with over 500 attendees, including 109 RP students who contributed both as volunteers and participants. Throughout the event, participants engaged in meaningful activities, visiting multiple sites and taking part in a tree-planting initiative supported by NParks and various community organisations. Each student received a Certificate of Participation from PA in recognition of their efforts.

The day began early at 7:15 AM for preparations and concluded at 1:30 PM back at Ace the Place CC, during which students connected with Admiralty residents and gained valuable insights into community building and service. Many students expressed enthusiasm for the event and requested more opportunities for similar activities, such as tree planting. This event served as an excellent platform for RP students to develop their skills, give back to society, and embody the spirit of Passionate Community Builders. With future collaborations and service-learning opportunities on the horizon, this marks just the beginning of impactful community partnerships by the RP School of Business. We are proud of our student volunteers for their dedication and look forward to more meaningful contributions in upcoming events!
