On 12 June 2025, 17 School of Hospitality (SOH) Diploma in Events & Project Management (DEPM) Peer Support Leaders and Peer Supporters came together to host a heartfelt Father’s Day celebration for the seniors at Sunlove Marsiling Senior Activity Centre (SAC), creating an afternoon filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful connection. 

The event featured a variety of engaging activities such as interactive chit-chat sessions, games, and karaoke, which brought smiles to the elderly residents and encouraged intergenerational bonding. Students also took the opportunity to converse with the seniors, learning more about their lives and experiences. 

Through this initiative, the team demonstrated, as Oscar Wilde said, "The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the grandest intention." They not only celebrated the fathers in the community but also strengthened ties between youth and seniors, enhancing well-being, promoting empathy, and exemplifying the values of Service-Learning. We are proud of our DEPM student leaders for their enthusiasm and compassion, and we look forward to more initiatives that build bridges across generations.
