On 13 and 20 January 2024, 71 students from RP Diploma in Sport Coaching, Diploma in Outdoor and Adventure Learning, and various sport CCAs joined forces to offer a special sports experience for 44 autistic children and their families. Held at RP, this event provided the children with the opportunity to learn fundamental skills in basketball, volleyball, badminton, and soccer.
The event was a celebration of warmth and joy as RP students, with great patience and enthusiasm, guided the children through each sport. Parents were moved by the coaches’ dedication and kindness, noting that the experience provided invaluable exposure for children with special needs, their families, and the RP coaches alike.
Following the event, parents expressed their gratitude, sharing that their children thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and appreciated the engaging and supportive coaches.
