Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science (R26)

School of Sports, Health and Leisure, Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science (R26)

What You Will Learn

Promising athletes who aim to perform at their peak need the support of a skilled and effective sports science team. Do you have what it takes to help develop Singapore’s dynamic sports industry?

The Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science (DSES) sets you on the right track to achieve your goals. You will gain a strong understanding of human physiology, psychology, anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise prescription through a scientific approach to sports, exercise and physical activity. You will also learn how the human body works during exercise and why sports and physical activity is a vital component for a healthy lifestyle.

You will be nurtured into a confident, skilled practitioner with the necessary skills to support community sports and athletes. Upon graduation, you can look forward to rewarding careers in fitness training, physical activity, sports rehabilitation, and scientific research in the commercial, public, welfare and uniformed groups sectors.

My student life in SHL has been both fulfilling and exciting. I find myself more confident, driven and independent at the end of my three-year holistic education here.
