Have you always wanted to develop professional two-dimensional (2D) drawings?
This course provides a step-by-step introduction to Autodesk CAD (AutoCAD) interface, including its fundamental functions and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) workflow processes.
Participants will learn how to create 2D drawings with basic tools, as well as how to modify a simple drawing. Additional productivity tools available in AutoCAD will also be introduced.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to
be proficient in using basic AutoCAD commands and functions
navigate basic AutoCAD workspace and user interface
use drawing, editing, constructing, and viewing tools

set up layers, styles, templates, and plot layouts
use Autodesk AutoCAD and appreciate its relation to other Autodesk products
Who Should Attend?
Draftsman, draughtsman, designer, architect, engineer (in the electrical, marine, mechanical, civil industries), tertiary students, and others who are keen to learn and apply the fundamentals of 2D drawings using AutoCAD software.
Participants are expected to have the ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings, and be familiar with the general operations of a personal computer (PC).
Participants will be awarded the Certificate of Attendance by Republic Polytechnic upon meeting 80% of the attendance requirement.
