Designing for Digital Platforms

This course introduces participants to the industry-standard processes commonly used to create digital online content. They will learn to use a wide variety of techniques to develop original digital collaterals from existing art assets/resources for use in various media platforms.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to create content for different online platforms in a way that is suitable for the intended audience.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will experience and learn the following through this interactive and hands-on practices:

  • Define and describe the elements of a visual design piece using industry-standard terms and language
  • Critique the use of visual design elements in a given work; make recommendations for improving its effectiveness
  • Use of appropriate industry-standard software to create and manipulate graphic and interactive elements
