Academy for Continuing Education (ACE)

This two-day course is divided into three parts. The first part introduces learners to the UiPath Robotic Enterprise Framework – a project template that can be used to design all kinds of processes, especially for projects that require scalable processing. You will also learn about the best practices guiding the framework. Next, you get to explore various UiPath invoke-related activities.

On the second day, there will be a practical project consultation session, where you get to implement a work-related project under the close guidance of a trainer; putting the concepts and techniques learnt in class into practice.

The goRPA Expert course is the final stage of a structured pathway that aims to extend your RPA capabilities progressively:

• Stage 1: goRPA
• Stage 2: goRPA Advanced
• Stage 3: goRPA Expert

Learning Objectives

By the end of the course, you will be able to:

• Develop projects using UiPath’s Robotic Enterprise Framework
• Build projects using modular design
• Leverage the invoke method, including invoke powershell, invoke python code, and invoke code activities for complex projects
• Create customised activity packages to be shared online

Entry Requirement

You must fulfil one of the following requirements:

• Completed both our goRPA and goRPA Advanced courses; or
• Possess advanced skills in UiPath

Experience in implementing at least four UiPath RPA processes is strongly encouraged.

Certification

Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.

For courses with formal assessment component, participants will be awarded the certification of completion upon passing the assessment. Otherwise, a certification of attendance will be issued instead upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.

Trainer's Profile

Mr Eugene Tham graduated from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering (First Class). He also holds two master’s degrees – Masters in Computer Science from NTU, and Masters in Engineering and Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He has been teaching in Republic Polytechnic (RP) since 2006. Previously, he worked in DSO National Laboratories as an embedded systems software engineer for six years. For most of his career, Mr Tham focused on software coding, embedded systems, and micro-controllers. His alternate interest lies in electronics and product design. Mr Tham is also passionate about service-learning. He has been leading various local and overseas service-learning projects for more than a decade; enriching the learning experience of his students.

Mr Tham is a strong proponent of RPA. He is well-versed in Workfusion, UiPath, and Power Automate. He holds the UiPath’s Advanced Developer Certification. Today, he imparts his skills and knowledge in RPA and business workflow automation (BWA) through RP’s short courses. With his experience in RPA project consultations, he co-crafted the goRPA Advanced and goRPA Expert short courses targeted to help practitioners with their RPA projects.

Ms Eng Pei Chee graduated with an Engineering bachelor’s and master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Technology Malaysia. She joined Republic Polytechnic (RP) in 2016 as a lecturer. Ms Eng enjoys sharing her knowledge and working alongside youths. Prior to joining RP, she taught at the Southern University College in Malaysia. Her lecturing experience provides her an in-depth knowledge on the academic work of an Institute of Higher Learning. She also served as a project engineer with V.S. Electronic Sdn, Bhd.

With her proficient coding skills in C/C++, VB, and Python, she has been actively involved in RP’s Robotic Process Automation (RPA) short courses since 2019. She also helped various organisations to leverage powerful automation and supported them with the implementation. Experienced in RPA project consultations, Ms Eng co-crafted the goRPA Advanced and goRPA Expert short courses to help practitioners with their RPA projects.
