Project Management - Made Fun and Easy


Always wanted to manage a project but felt that it could only be done by professionals?

In this interactive Project Management course, you will learn practical skills and knowledge that you can apply to any project – Corporate Events, Product Launches, Sports Events and even Weddings!

Through the use of hands-on activities, our trainer will guide you through a powerful yet easy-to-remember Project Management framework that will enable you to manage any project – big or small.  

This course will also introduce the various components of managing a project effectively and successfully, as well as equip participants with a clear understanding of the role played by a skilled project manager.

Entry Requirement

This workshop is perfect for anyone who needs to take charge in managing a project, and does not require any prior experience and knowledge.

Participants are required to bring along their own laptop for the course.

Certification

Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.

For courses with assessment component, participants will be awarded the certification of completion upon passing the assessment. Otherwise, a certification of attendance will be issued instead upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.

Trainer's Profile

Teeny Teh brings with her more than a decade of experience in marketing, advertising and events. Prior to joining RP, she was an Advertising and Promotions Manager with Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS), managing brands like the Singapore Zoo, Night Safari and Jurong Bird Park. During her tenure with WRS, she conceptualized and executed numerous large scale events such as Night Safari’s Halloween Horrors and Singapore Zoo’s festive and school holiday events. Before swinging to the wild side, Teeny was an Account Manager with T&T Advertising, managing various branding and advertising campaigns for P&G, NTUC FairPrice and Microsoft. Leveraging on her experience in the fast-paced events and tourism industry, Teeny coaches individuals on creating memorable events and campaigns, especially for theme parks and attractions. She also imparts invaluable project management skills and knowledge that ensure the event’s smooth and successful execution.

Grace Lim
has close to two decades of experience in managing conferences, exhibitions and events, She spent the first three years of her career at the Singapore Expo, and managed the logistics for events ranging from a few hundred to more than ten thousand participants. She then ventured into the China market. In her five years in China, she set up an overseas for an event company, before joining Munich International Trade Fairs (Shanghai) Pte Ltd in 2005 as a project manager to manage Bauman China, Asia’s biggest construction machinery show. Grace was back in Singapore in 2008 and joined the inaugural Singapore Youth Olympic Games (SYOG) 2010 Organizing Committee to manage the cultural and educational programme. Leveraging on her extensive experience in managing events, she joined RP as a lecturer in 2011. She is currently an Adjunct Lecturer with the School of Hospitality where she shares her event and project management skills in educational-related projects.

K Ramamoorthy is one of the pioneering members of the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) industry with some ten years in this dynamic space. Before joining Republic Polytechnic in 2007, he was the Delegations Director with Singex Venues at the Singapore Expo, a position that encompasses his experience with his rise through the ranks with the organisation, when he managed both global and local events including Global Security Asia 2009, IMDEX 2003 and 2007, SITEX from 2001 – 2006, Cities Asia Conference 2001 and many more. In 2007, Ramamoorthy joined the School of Hospitality and has since conducted hospitality training in Singapore as well as overseas for tourism delegates. Rama graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Business Administration) in Management and Human Resource Management from the Hawaii Pacific University. Rama has a passion for voluntary work and serving in grassroots organisations for over 22 years.
