Are you an aspiring content creator? The Media Challenge 2025 can be the stepping stone as you embark on your journey in the exciting world of digital media.

The Media Challenge is an event organised by Republic Polytechnic, School of Business’s Diploma in Mass Communication (DMC) to give media-savvy secondary school students a taste of their dream career in the digital media and communications industry.

The 2025 edition of The Media Challenge will be held in RP on 20 and 21 March 2025. This year, we have partnered SPH Media’s Kiss92 to solve an authentic problem statement for the radio station.

Working in teams, participants will pit their creativity, content creation skills and determination against one another to create their own integrated content package to win attractive prizes! Participants can also pick up valuable tips and insights from leading media practitioners, who will assess the quality of their content packages.

In the process, participants will get to:

  • Take part in hands-on workshops and gain tips from media industry practitioners as well as DMC lecturers
  • Be assessed on their ability to create digital content as well as their creativity and planning skills within a given time frame, making this a meaningful and enriching experience
  • Pitch their media packages to a panel of judges comprising industry experts and DMC lecturers
  • Stand a chance to win prizes

Our experienced lecturers and industry partners will share their knowledge and skills with participants on how to:

  • Conceptualise and produce engaging digital media content – including visual and audio content for social media and broadcast
  • Successfully pitch their media package to a panel of judges
  • Effectively promote their content across various digital and social media platforms
