Dr. Chitra Rajaram brings 33 years of media, public relations, and teaching experiences with her. She began her career in 1988 as a journalist with The New Paper and later The Business Times. After which she helmed leadership positions at Singapore Press Holdings, including Editor for Tamil Murasu and Regional Managing Director Asia of an International public relations firm out of Chicago. Her last stint for the past 10 years was with Mediacorp as Senior Vice President. Having been in the pioneering teams for many of these roles, Chitra enjoys creating content/curriculum and seeing the fruits of the content result in eyeballs, listenership, viewership, student interests, and relevance to industry.
Sapna is part of the senior leadership team at Medicorp with experience across different media channels and functions. Armed with over a decade of client and sales experience she helped the commercial team build several branded IPs and solutions. She then worked in the newsroom alongside Channel News Asia where she created monetisation opportunities across editorial products from CNA Insider to documentaries and original IPs. Sapna now takes the same passionate approach in creating meaningful content Intellectual Properties across audience groups, be it kids, millennials or family. In her current role, she is responsible for the English entertainment portfolio of MediaCorp's television, radio, and digital platforms. She is constantly driven to secure and create fresh and exciting content to engage and entertain the audience. For those aspiring to join the industry, passion, creativity, a can-do spirit, and a desire to fly Singapore's flag high on the global stage are what Sapna hopes that our next generation of media professionals will exude in abundance.
Diogo is both a creative entrepreneur and content producer who leverages social media marketing. As the co-founder of BLOOMR.SG, he builds creative teams for innovation, business, and marketing campaigns, working on digital strategies with international brands across Asia. Diogo excels in maximising the creative impact, costs, returns on investments, and reach of each project created whilst assimilating the said projects with the most up-to-date technologies and visual language necessary for high performing products.
Myleeta Aga is an entrepreneurial, creative leader experienced across the media and digital content businesses in multiple countries and functions. Most recently Myleeta was Netflix’s Director of Content for Southeast Asia and Australia, responsible for delivering best-in-class content from across the region. She was responsible for leading teams, commissioning originals, and programming content in key markets including Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, and Australia. Before joining Netflix, Myleeta spent over a decade in senior roles at BBC Studios, where most recently she was briefly put in charge of the P&L of the company’s operations across Asia following her leadership of South and Southeast Asia – including channels, TV and digital sales, production, consumer products and Global News distribution, as well as BBC Player – an authenticated subscription video on demand (SVOD) service. She also supervised the production of several BBC formats in the region including “Dancing with the Stars”, “The Office”, and “Criminal Justice”.
Based in Singapore, Darren Burns recently rejoined Golin to build out its Asia Pacific operations. Prior to this, Darren spent 14 years at Weber Shandwick, most recently as Vice Chair, where he led collaborative efforts to build the next generation of the agency to help clients solve their most pressing issues by putting analytics, creative, and digital thinking at the heart of the business. His passion for nurturing creativity, driving innovation, and delivering results helped the Weber Shandwick China agency win eight “Agency of the Year” awards in 2018 including the Gold for Agency Culture at the annual campaign awards. Darren’s experience extends from launching new companies and initiatives to guiding leaders through a range of mission-critical situations, including crises and change management programmes. Darren is also a leading spokesperson, media and crisis trainer.
