Our Diploma in Human Resource Management with Psychology (DHRMP) students did RP proud at the recently-concluded Singapore HR Challenge 2016.

Organised by the Singapore Human Resources Institute, the Singapore HR Challenge is a yearly interschool human resource (HR) innovation competition judged by a panel of HR professionals and polytechnic lecturers.

Both DHRMP student teams, Team Futuristic and Team HRFC, competed against six other polytechnic teams at the grand finals on 6 August, with the latter clinching joint second place.

Team HRFC – comprising of students Dawn Loh Min Rui, Nur Fadhilah Bte Amran, Tan Chien Huei (Ashley), Marcus Lee Chun Kin, and Ang Collin – wowed the judges with their comprehensive case study of the future-readiness of the HR practices of a locally-based logistics company.

Dawn also scored the Best Presenter Award, a first for RP.

Team Futuristic similarly impressed at the finals. Neo Xin Yu, Chee Ya Hui (Joanna), Lee Li Yin, and Quek Pin Chen were awarded a Certificate of Commendation for their in-depth research and analysis of their chosen organisation’s HR practices.

Last year, two DHRMP student teams competed against two other polytechnic teams in the grand finals, earning a Certificate of Commendation each.
