Our students from Team Carry clinched the "Best Pitch" Award in Prudential Young Trailblazer 2020 with their winning idea of creating a voice activation app for research lab.
Our students from the School of Management and Communication and School of Applied Science clinched the “Best Pitch” Award in Prudential Young Trailblazer 2020, after battling it out with six other finalist teams. This is the second time Republic Polytechnic’s (RP) team clinched this award, having won it last year.
The winning idea from the students of Diploma in Human Resource Management with Psychology (DHRMP) and Diploma in Biomedical Science (DBMS) revolved around a voice activation app that can be used in a research lab.
“The RP Team won the Best Pitch (again!). But they have a good prototype too for research lab. The lab which gave the problem will test the solution when circuit breaker is over,” said Mr Elmer Lau, Chief Executive Officer of Acorn Training Private Limited.
29 teams from various institutions participated in the competition which was held online, with three teams representing RP. Prudential Young Trailblazer 2020 is a platform for students to showcase their innovation ability while improving the lives of its beneficiaries, based on problem statements provided by different companies.
