65 teams from the various polytechnics submitted their branding proposals in the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) Brand Challenge 2019 where each team will work with one of the brand owners (Bern Sovereign Couture, Cooltopia, and Superview Wine) to address their branding challenge. Eight teams were selected to compete in the Finals.

Two RP teams from School of Management and Communication were the top winners for the Bern Soverign Couture and the Cooltopia category.  The RP team working on the Cooltopia brand won 1st runner-up in the overall challenge while the RP team working on Bern Sovereign Couture won 2nd Runner-up in the overall challenge.

The 2 teams walked away not only with shopping vouchers but also with provisional offers of admission into the full-time Bachelor of Science in Marketing with minor program at SUSS.  In addition, the owner of Bern Sovereign Couture (Mr Bernard) was so impressed with the team that he offered to employ our student(s) as marketing manager full time/part-time or even the whole team to manage their social media.  This goes to show that our students are industry ready, even though two of them just completed their Year 2 Semester 1.
