The Science of Video-based Analysis in Sports - Motion Analysis

This is an intermediate course in motion analysis using video-based technology tools in sports. Participants will also learn how to apply the basic data analytic skills in sports analysis. During the course, participants will have the opportunity to practice top-notch software used by Olympic medallists during the workshop. 

At the end of the course, participants will receive an international-recognised certificate as Dartfish Performance Analyst (Motion Analysis) if you meet the requirements of the course. 

Learning Objectives

Participants will apply the basic movement principles with the use of technology tools to enhance coaching and provide relevant feedback in sports.

Students will learn the:

  • technological tools used in motion analysis
  • basic movement principles used in to analyse sports skills
  • live and post-videoing analysis, and delay video feedback functions
  • basic data analytics skills and data interpretation
  • cloud-based video management and data sharing   

Who should attend?

Sports coaches, sports analysts and physical education teachers.

Certification

Participants will be awarded a certificate of completion upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.

For courses with formal assessment component, participants will be awarded the certification of completion upon passing the assessment. Otherwise, a certification of attendance will be issued instead upon meeting the 75% course attendance requirement.

Participants will be awarded the Dartfish Performance Analyst – Certified User by Dartfish SA if they meet the minimum requirements of the mini-project.
