Individuals who are interested to enter the aesthetics industry but do not have prior knowledge and skills, as well as current aesthetic practitioners looking to upgrade their skills.
This course is also beneficial for individuals who are looking to acquire skills in facial therapies for their own personal development.
Entry Requirement / 课程要求
Participants should be conversant in the English language. Participants should be reasonably fit and able to move without aid, as this course requires physical movements.
For the course in Mandarin, participants should have basic understanding and ability to converse in Mandarin.

对于华文授课的课程，参与者应具备基本的华文理解和会话能力。
Certification / 证书
Participants will be awarded a Professional Certificate in Aesthetic Therapy and Practices issued by Republic Polytechnic upon meeting 75% of the attendance requirement and successful completion of all module requirements, and passing of both practical and theory assessments.
Assessment (100%) is made up of 2 components:
1. 90-min practical assessment (50%)
2. 60-min written paper assessment on theoretical knowledge (50%)
Note: This is a practical module requiring hands-on activities, participants should be able to receive and provide a facial treatment for learning and assessment purposes.
参与者在达到 75% 的出勤率并成功完成所有课程的学习要求、并通过实操和理论考评后，将获得共和理工学院颁发的“美疗和实操专业证书。
考评包括两部分：

Helen Tan has been in the beauty, spa and wellness training industry for over 35 years with CIBTAC, ITEC, & CIDESCO qualifications in Aesthetic, Body, Face & Body Electrotherapy, Spa, Aromatherapy, Advance Skincare Treatments, IPL, Microdermabrasion since 1982.Being a seasoned and respected trainer cum international examiner with CIDESCO International & ITEC for more than 18 years, Helen has gathered a multitude of various experiences that add value to her qualifications as a trainer. Her professional career has been anchored in training, spa licensing, consultancy (setting up a beauty college in Vietnam with accrediting bodies), courseware development with ACTA & DACE qualifications, and managing 5-star hotel spas and airport spa. She has a great passion in nurturing and developing students to their fullest potential with a proven record of success stories.
Carol Goh stepped into the world of beauty after graduating from NTU, embracing cosmetic brands such as Bourjois and Maybelline where she strategised and managed the brands’ marketing, sales and profitability. To gain a more holistic view of beauty and wellness, she took up ITEC Diplomas in Anatomy, Physiology and Massage as well as Aromatherapy. This led Carol to the second phase of her journey as she stepped into the fitness, spa and beauty industry where she managed Phillip Wain, an exclusive ladies’ fitness and beauty club, helping women find wellness solutions and lead a healthier lifestyle. Carol entered teaching at Republic Polytechnic to share her knowledge in spa therapies, wellness business operations and customer service.
Fattimah Ally is a graduate from the National University of Singapore, having obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and English. She has over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, specialising in wellness treatments like body massages and facials. She has international wellness certifications from ITEC in Spa Management, Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Stress Management and Indian Head Massage and from CIBTAC, in Facial Services as well as certifications in Thai Massage and Shiatsu. She worked in Bhutan and Indonesia with Amanresorts to manage the resorts’ regional spas for 9 years. She returned to Singapore in 2012 to share her love of teaching with hospitality students from Republic Polytechnic. She has a keen interest in nurturing students of all ages and abilities to help them develop their potential. She is a patient and passionate trainer.
