Skills-Based Modular Courses

Business Law in Hospitality

 45 hours


In this day and age, hotel managers are called upon to make decisions about their guests that will impact the legal standing of the hotel. This course will equip you with the knowledge on hospitality laws that cover your guests against injuries and accidents at the hotel.

Catering Management

 60 hours


In this course, participants will have the opportunity to understand the importance of catering management, for both in-house and outside events. You will also learn about revenue management for banquet space, food production, manpower planning and limitations of outdoor catering.

Contact Centre Operations

 60 hours


This module introduces participants to the operation management of Contact Centre. The emphasis will be in four core areas which include the Business Plan, People, Technology and Standards & Processes. It equips participants with the necessary skills, tools and knowledge to better assimilate into the Contact Centre.

Customer Relationship Management

 60 hours


Ever wondered how a firm's resources, information, and processes can be managed strategically to foster greater customer intimacy and loyalty? This course will provide you with a strong foundation on how to build a profitable relationship with customers; fostering greater customer intimacy and loyalty.

Facilities and Building Management

 45 hours


This course examines the energy cost in a hotel incurred by heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems (HAVC). Participants will look at renewable engineering solutions on how these costs can be effectively managed. It includes designing facilities and systems for food and beverage provisioning, telecommunications systems, and coordinating operations with renovation projects.

Financial Management in Hospitality

 45 hours


In this course, participants will be exposed to various principles of hospitality finance including the mathematics of finance, sales accountability, working capital, property valuation, and more.

Food and Beverage Management

 60 hours


Get introduced to all aspects of food and beverage management, from opening a restaurant, to managing operational concerns such as hygiene and sanitation, staff scheduling, customer service, etc by attending this course.

Food Service Facilities Design

 60 hours


Get introduced to the concept of foodservice facilities design and planning with an emphasis on restaurants through this course.

Managing Service Quality in Hotels

 45 hours


In this course, participants will be exposed to the different processes that are in place, and analyse performance measures to determine how guests are being served at the hotel. Participants will also be able to apply their knowledge about the concepts of operational brand standards of a chain hotel, and examine how these standards can be used to improve the competitiveness of the hotel.

Marketing and Revenue Management

 45 hours


Do you wish to be equipped with the skills to identify and exploit opportunities for revenue and operational optimisation in the hospitality industry? Join this course to explore the application of sales and marketing techniques and how it can impact the revenue goals of the hotel.

Service Quality and Professional Etiquette

 60 hours


This module is designed to inculcate participants with the service mind-set as well as to acquaint them with the theoretical and practical concepts on service quality, adapted from a service excellence framework, based on leadership, strategy, people, process, and measurement. It covers service culture, service blueprinting, measuring service quality, and service empowerment.

Strategic Human Resource Management

 45 hours


This course aims to provide an insight into the relationship between human resource management and the business strategy of the hotel. Participants will apply the knowledge to evaluate the functional roles of the human resource team in the hotel and examine specific areas of human resource management that operates strategically in a hotel. This includes understanding the various strategies on talent management and staff retention in the hotel.
