Diploma in Events & Project Management (R28)

DIEM

What You Will Learn

Renamed from Diploma in Integrated Events Management

The Diploma in Events & Project Management (DEPM) equips students with a well-rounded skillset to address the growing demand for versatile event professionals in Singapore’s thriving live entertainment and business events industry.

This skillset prepares students to manage concerts, sporting events, and Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) while equipping them with digital skills to stay in line with industry trends.

To further boost graduate opportunities, DEPM goes beyond the mechanics of event planning by integrating project management concepts. This is crucial in the event industry's shift towards large-scale events where a structured approach to event planning empowers the students to craft experiences with greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness. As a result, DEPM graduates become more competitive in organising complex events from across a wide range of industries and sectors.

With the competencies they acquire, graduates of DEPM are transformed into strategic event planners.  They will excel in communication and problem-solving allowing them to succeed in diverse event environments across corporate, commercial, and non-profit sectors.

For those eager to jumpstart their careers, DEPM offers a structured Talent Advancement Programme (TAP) that provides students a direct route to the workforce. This pathway, supported by guidance from an industry mentor, features short job stints and a one-year (two-semester) internship with strategic industry partners.

Graduating from the Diploma in Integrated Events Management (DIEM) was a truly transformative journey that opened doors to the dynamic Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) sector. Through this immersive learning experience at RP, I cultivated and honed my skills in complex problemsolving and critical thinking—essential tools for navigating challenges inherent in the events industry. The diploma equipped me with theoretical knowledge and practical skills to excel in events management, providing me with the tools and confidence to tackle the multifaceted world of the events management and business landscape.
