First impressions are important – especially when going for that all-important interview. This module will introduce students to the importance of social etiquette, and how to project a positive first impression. Students will:
- Learn basic social etiquette skills
- Acquire skills to do well in interviews
- Be exposed to the different sectors of the hospitality industry
- Craft their own resume
- Craft appropriately worded emails
By the end of the course, students will learn how to behave with confidence and poise in different social settings, a skill that is very applicable in their everyday lives, and especially valuable to those keen on a career in the service industry.
This Applied Learning Module (ApLM) will also give students a taste of SOH’s Diploma in Hotel & Leisure Management programme.
