By joining us in this Applied Learning Module, you will learn how to transform a range of common mobile devices into serious alternatives to conventional musical instruments and music production tools.  Over the course of this three-day hands-on module, you will learn to produce professional sounding music by connecting your mobile gizmo to MIDI controllers, microphones, and audio interfaces. This module will be especially helpful if you want insights into the music production and entertainment industries. This ApLM will help you develop your music production skills to the next level. Once you are set up, you will be ready to make music for your friends, family, and maybe even a soundtrack to your next creative project!

At the end of the module, students will be able to:

• Recognise the potential for common mobile devices to create music anytime, anywhere

• Set up a music workstation using mobile devices

• Use a mobile device to produce a short jingle for a creative project of 30 seconds duration

• Use mobile devices to produce a soundtrack for a visual medium of 30 seconds duration
