During her school days, Christine has actively volunteered for numerous arts events and worked as a freelance lighting technician. She has been offered a role as Junior Technician in Highlight Systems Integration, a lighting consultancy firm, even before she had graduated from RP. Due to Covid-19, the company moved to change its business model and Christine was one of the core team members that help drive the company’s new direction during the change. As a passion-driven technician, she is open to learning new skillsets and has gone the extra mile to expand her skills beyond lighting design. Now, she also runs virtual streaming productions for the company as part of the core team.

Four years after graduating from RP, Dawn Lim co-founded UX Experts with zero capital. Today, Dawn helps start-ups and enterprises with user research, interaction and user interface design for a variety of industries. She helps companies in various verticals such as Financial services, e-Commerce and retail, Education, Software-as-a-Service. Dawn has conduct workshop and led design activities at UX Experts for clients such as NTUC, OCBC, AutoDesk, vCargo Cloud among others. Dawn and her team leverage on design thinking and latest technology to drive product innovation, customer experience management and digital transformation. UX Experts aim to make digital simple and delightful for humans.

Ghazi Alqudcy

Class of 2008

Ghazi Alqudcy is an independent filmmaker currently based in Malaysia. His films had been screened locally and internationally in Netherlands, Denmark, Estonia, Japan, Hong Kong and many more. Ghazi had directed more than fifty short films and produced two feature length films. Ghazi is a recipient of the Sunburst Scholarship 2008 (Temasek Holdings) and Goh Chok Tong Youth Promise Award 2007. He has a Master’s Degree from Sarajevo Film Academy under the tutelage of the maestro Béla Tarr.   

 


Govin Tan

Class of 2012

Govin Tan, founding member of GTkai & Flame of the Forest, is a multi-world percussionist, who started learning the art of Indian Music - Tabla at the age of 12 with Mr. Chandra Sekaran (Singapore) and subsequently furthered his craft with Ustad Jagjit Singh (India, Punjab).

With perseverance and diligence, Govin was the first non-Indian to win the National Indian Music Competition in 2006 (tabla intermediate category) and 2008 (tabla open category) respectively. This was truly an astonishing historical feat that has never repeated itself till date.

Govin has since brought his performances to new heights, both musically and technically where he displayed his percussion techniques skillfully in many performances and is grateful to be given the opportunity to travel and perform internationally as an accompanist and soloist. Throughout his journey, Govin continues to study and explore with various ethnic instruments of the world.


Jeanne Gabrielle

"When I think about my DGD Diploma course, I feel grateful; It was a place of growth, respect and comradery. It exercised my mind with problems that needed to be solved, it exercised my soul with friendship as well as opportunities that led me to achieve my dreams in the industry. And it exercised my heart through panic attacks caused by RJ and game project deadlines. To sum it all up, DGD gave me the foundation I needed to be serious about fun."

Jeanne Strachan

While she started out aspiring to be an artist for games, Jeanne proved to be a talented designer and competent in a variety of other skills. Jeanne was appointed as the Valedictorian for STA during the graduation ceremony in 2017. She has since embarked on her career as a junior level designer with the local office of Ubisoft, a prestigious company in the gaming industry.


Limin Chung

“DDUX helped kickstart my journey in the user experience realm, and I developed holistic and strong fundamentals of the UX process/ methodologies. As part of the UX journey, I developed skills to collaborate with people from different disciplines and make product design decisions based on research and testing. Being able to apply what I learnt, I also expanded my knowledge in UX during internship, where I also secured my first job upon graduation.”

Limin Chung is a User Experience Designer based in Singapore, pursuing a part-time undergraduate course in Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS). She has been with Autodesk for the last 6 years as a User Experience Designer primarily working on enhancing and designing the experience of product data management software alongside with other UX designers, User Researchers, Product Managers and Developers in the company. Prior to joining Autodesk family, she started out as a User Experience Designer in UX Consulting shortly after graduation and have worked on various projects across different industries such as Startups, Travel, Government, Bank and Insurance.

Tze Hsuan was the top DDUX graduate of his cohort. He has since worked in 5 different industries and helped design award-winning products. Currently as the Head, Product UX in MobilityX, he is playing his part to help shape the future of transport in Singapore.

Before graduating from RP, Merissa played an active role in Singapore’s theatre scene, freelancing as a technical theatre practitioner. She went on to be the recipient of the National Arts Council Arts Scholarship (Undergraduate) 2018, and completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts (Design and Production) at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music, University of Melbourne. Now, she continues to fulfill her dreams as an Assistant Production Coordinator at Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay.

Nadia was the Board of Governor Award Winner for The Most Outstanding Graduate of The Year and then after was awarded with the Anugerah Belia Cemerlang MENDAKI 2018. After graduating from Nanyang Technological University with a degree in Fine Arts with a specialisation in Design Art, Nadia is now a Content Professional and Designer with IBM.

Shahrul has graduated from Bachelor of Arts in Game Design in DigiPen, an institution well-known in the industry for its intense curriculum and tough entry requirements. Today, Shahrul is working as an UI Artist at ILMxLAB Singapore, Lucasfilm's Immersive Entertainment Studio. He has since worked on several mobile game titles such as Dragon Project, Disney’s Epic Quest and some renown titles from SEGA, as part of goGame’s publishing services. His passion working in games continues.

Early in 2017, Syafiq successfully passed the prestigious and highly competitive Ableton Certified Trainer Program in Hong Kong, becoming the first and youngest ever Ableton Certified Trainer in Singapore. In his entrepreneurial journey, he officially launched Grid Culture in May 2019, a platform which provides training services and education in electronic music production and, designing live music performance using the musical software named Ableton Live. Through this self-made business venture, he is dedicated to share his Ableton Live experience with like-minded individuals and community to show that music technology and computer music can be a unique creative tool or a hobby.
