STA Club

STA Club

STA club are a joyful bunch of student ambassadors for the School of Technology for the Arts (STA). STA club members serve a key function in the organizing and managing of various school and poly-wide events which aim to develop and nurture not just our students’ creative knowledge but also their leadership skills.

AVMP

AVMP

The AVMP (audio visual media production) IG provides students with opportunities to hone their video production skills. Members will receive training in all aspects of production including operating cameras, lights, sound equipment and in new technologies, such as immersive media and livestreaming. 

Aside from supporting key RP events, students from AVMP will have opportunities to make their own short films and collaborate with students from all over RP on creative projects!

Comics IG

Comics IG

Got a passion and need somewhere to express it? Members of Comics Interest Group (Comics IG) can learn to draw from the ground up from lessons touching on topics such as basic human anatomy, landscape drawing, and colour theory. Nurture your interest in the world of comics and gain exposure in the community through the numerous events that we participate in, including the EOY and SOY Cosplay festivals.

Electronic Music Production (EMP)

Electronic Music Production (EMP) was established with one main aim; to bring everyone who is passionate about electronic music together. EMP members not only learn how to perform as a DJ, they also acquire the skills of music production using synthesizers and MIDI controller devices and learn to take charge of events management as well as publicity and promotional campaigns.

Interested in “live” productions, multi-camera setups, and real-time editing? At Studio IG, students have wide opportunities to learn in the areas of pre-production setups, production, and directing, and try out the vital roles of a multi-camera production. Studio IG has been providing multimedia support for events at The Republic Cultural Centre, including the IGNITE! Music Festival.

Table Top Games IG

Are you game to try out new experiences? As a member of the Tabletop Games IG (TGIG), you get to participate in weekly gaming sessions! 

Play exciting board games ranging from Ticket to Ride, to Settlers of Catan. Experience role playing through our Dungeons & Dragons sessions, and battle for dominance in our trading card game sessions. For aspiring chessmasters, weekly training sessions are held to prepare you to compete against other challengers in International Chess and Chinese Chess.
