The Diploma in Arts & Entertainment Production Management (DAEPM) will provide students with a comprehensive foundation and skills within the Arts and Entertainment industry that spans critical areas such as technical production, arts administration, and entertainment design, incorporating insights from both local and global perspectives.
The curriculum will foster the development of creative solutions and proficiency in production management principles, systems and processes tailored for the Arts & Entertainment industry and will reinforce theoretical learning and develop practical skills and competencies, preparing students to navigate the evolving industry demands professionally.
DAEPM graduates will emerge as proficient entertainment designers, technicians, and arts managers who are equipped to manage a wide array of arts, cultural, and entertainment events. Their expertise will encompass both production and managerial capacities, ensuring versatility to excel in various sectors beyond traditional theatre and diverse professional challenges.
In this industry, we are expected to be creative while working with limited resources and constraints. In this Diploma course, we learn to think outside the box and work realistically within boundaries. We are given a lot of exploratory space to experiment and having been able to work with people of different roles opens my mind. Our lecturers constantly share with us valuable industry experiences, and emphasise on the importance of staying curious.
