Art and Science of Pharmaceutical Compounding

Ever wondered how to make medicine and how drugs work in the body? In this Applied Learning Module (ApLM), students will be introduced to drug action, and how a drug substance elicits a response(s) from the human body. Students will learn about different types of dosage forms. Formulation and basic compounding techniques for solid dosage forms such as tablets and capsules, liquid preparations such as emulsions, suspensions, creams and ointments will be covered. Students will also learn about the different types of medication found in Singapore.

This ApLM will provide aspiring pharmacy technicians, a taste of our Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science
